An Old Fashioned Christmas in Coventry Village will be held from noon to 4 P.M. on Sunday, Dec. 2. The event, now in its ninth year, brings community members and businesses together to welcome the holiday season. Activities throughout the afternoon include a visit with Santa, storytelling, a holiday dance presentaion, live musical performances throughout the village, a chocolate festival, a community carol sing, horse and carriage rides, pony rides, and of course a visit with Santa. Merchants along the historic stretch of Main Street will be open, featuring demonstrations, holiday gift ideas & specials, free drawings, refreshments and more. The Coventry Lions Club will run its fundraiser Christmas Tree Raffle, with trees decorated and donated by local organizations, businesses and individuals. The Coventry Visitors Center will feature a Country Git Cupboard along with an array of tourist material.
The event is organized and sponsored by various local merchants along with town organizations including Ackert Electric,BHB Printing, the Coventry Lions Club.
