Arts 4 You Curriculum Experiences for Students
The Community Cultural Committee d/b/a The Three C’s
celebrates their 29th season of bringing a variety of high
quality performing arts experiences, from Theatreworks USA
in New York, to local students during the school day. This
season is dedicated to the memory of founding member and co-
chairperson , Mary Patenaude.
On Tuesday October 23, 2012 grades 4 – 8 are invited
to Archimedes and the Power of Math. Veteran actor
Patrick Garner uses motivational hands-on activities to help
students discover math power.
“Lock up your lettuce! Protect your parsley! Rescue your
rutabaga!” Grades 2 – 4 will sing, laugh and tap their feet
on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, as they experience the
adventures of rabbitt Bunnicula in this new musical,
based on the best-selling books by James and Deborah Howe.
On Monday April 29, 2013 The Civil War is brought to life in
this powerful new musical about one of American history’s
defining moment. It will illuminate aspects of the battles, its
leaders and turning points. Students in grades 3 – 8 will learn
the suffering and loss in the war between the States, and it will
bring an unforgettable era in our history to students’ lives.
The final production is Martha Speaks. The musical is about an
ordinary dog ……..until she eats some alphabet soup. All the
letters go to Martha’s head and she becomes literally out
spoken. Based on the delightful series of books by Susan
Meddaugh, this is a “doggone funny new musical”. Pre-K – 4
will enjoy this show on Thursday, May 23, 2013.
All productions are at 10 a.m. and noon at Hyde Cultural Center
in Woodstock at a cost of only $3 per person. Information is

Lynn Bourque of Putnam Bank and Betty Hale, Trustee of The
Regional Community YMCA. Over 185,000 students have
participated in our programs.
