The State of Connecticut, Department of Economic and Community Development, is seeking museum guides to be stationed at one of the agencies’ four State Museums: Eric Sloane Museum (Kent), Old New-Gate Prison and Copper Mine (East Granby), the Prudence Crandall Museum (Canterbury), and the Henry Whitfield Museum (Guilford). The museum guides will report to the staff person in charge of the site. This is a 37.5 hour/week position and requires weekend work. Individual work schedules will be determined by the site supervisor, however the work week will begin on Wednesday or Thursday and run through Sunday or Monday. Some holiday work will be required.
