TUESDAY  PAINTERS

We’re still outdoors!  And we’ll be painting out until the weather turns too cool to do so. Probably till the end of September. Keep in the email loop from Ronnie to know where we’re going each week.  All local, all beautiful all works of art.

The Geese

 exerpt from Ronnies Tuesday email

‘Tuesday morning  sun was in, then it was out, and back in again.  And, it was hot.  A few of us headed directly to the gazebo and settled in.  Soon after six geese landed back in the small pond.  It was evident geese were in the vicinity, you had to step very carefully.  Geese poop was everywhere.  It was nice to get back out painting (or in my case, drawing).  By noon, the sun was completely out and it became uncomfortable.  So we packed up.  Just as I was leaving I noticed a woman retrieving envelopes from the mailbox.  I walked over to her and thanked her for letting TCAA paint there today.  She replied that we were welcome, and then asked,

“Did you have any problems with the geese..?”

Not really, other than the goose poop everywhere.  She then told me that this was the first year they had aggressive geese.  Other years she would be walking her dogs around the pond and the geese would just glide back into the water.  Not this year.  The five smaller geese would get in the water, the larger goose would let you walk right up to her.  And then she would SPIT at you…..!    Spitting Geese……………   She also said that her dogs enjoyed eating the goose poop.  I do not understand this habit, but then, I am a cat person.  Ronnie ‘
