Summer has finally arrived and there are tons of things for us to do, plenty of things to entertain us, and much to keep us on our toes. We can visit exhibits around the state, view outdoor theater or just quietly read a book at the beach or while hanging out in the backyard.

For Written and Spoken Word Lovers
Did you know there is a Connecticut Author’s Trail? Well there is! A consortium of libraries in the eastern part of the state start hosting authors on July 6 and wrap-up on September 14 with a finale at Mohegan Sun. You can learn more and follow the trail here.
The Sunken Garden Poetry Festival kicks off on June 21 with Billy Collins, Poet Laureate of the United States from 2001-2003. For the complete schedule, visit here.
