The Hebron Maple Festival will celebrate its 27th year this weekend on March 18 and 19 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The festival will take place on the Hebron Green and the parking areas of the Douglas Library. Admission is free and guests should park at RHAM High School at 85 Wall Street and use the shuttle bus to the downtown area as parking is extremely limited. Handicap parking will be available at the Century 21 lot.
This year’s festival has over 60 vendors. Guests can taste all kinds of maple flavored goodies as well as BBQ, tacos, seafood, fried dough and hamburgers and hotdogs. There will be an Art and Craft fair inside Douglas Library as well as crafters scattered throughout the event. Family fun includes kid’s crafts, a scavenger hunt, games, face painting, storytelling and outdoor adventures. Live music performed by the Introvertz and a tractor parade on Sunday are sure to please everyone.
Three sugar houses will be operating throughout the weekend for guests to stop by and watch how maple syrup is produced, get a taste and ask questions about the history and process of sugaring. They are Wenzel’s Sugar House, 522 East St, Hebron; Woody Acres, 80 Cone Rd, Hebron; and River’s Edge Sugar House, 326 Mansfield Rd, Ashford.
