Channel 3 Kids Camp Welcomes Three New Board Members

Andover, CT, March 25, 2016 Non-Profit Channel 3 Kids Camp recently appointed three new members to their Board of Directors. Wilson Vega, Senior Vice President of Field Operations at Global Imaging Systems has been involved with Channel 3 Kids Camp for many years. He has served on the board previously and has returned.

Dr. Anton Alerte, M.D. was also appointed. Dr Alerte is a pediatrician at Saint Francis and University of Connecticut. He sees patients at the Burgdorf/Bank of America Primary Care Center and is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of  Medicine. In addition, Alerte serves as President for the CT Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as chair of the Medical School Admissions Committee at UConn.

Also joining the Channel 3 Kids Camp Board of Directors was Suzanne C. Thorburn. Thorburn is employed by Meredith Corporation where her responsibilities include administrative support to VP/General manager of WFSB-TV3 and WHSM-CBS. She is also a program coordinator for the stations as well as manages FCC reports.

Channel 3 Kids Camp believes that ALL children deserve a Kids Camp experience. Its mission is to provide fun year-round opportunities to children of all abilities, families, and communities through educational and recreational programs that promote diversity, acceptance, and environmental appreciation. The nonprofit organization provides opportunities through after school programming, home school enrichment programs, weekend groups and respite weekends, traditional overnight and day camp summer programs, and its new, year-round preschool.
