BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! The Windham Theatre Guild Presents ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE

Mar 20, 2015 by WindhamAreaArts

The Windham Theatre Guild is excited to bring back by popular demand the wonderful musical tribute to a most unforgettable country music legend with it’s original stars from the November 2012 production. Opening Friday, March 27th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, it’s Always…Patsy Cline, written and originally Directed by Ted Swindley.
Always…Patsy Cline, once again starring Laura LaCour, is based on the true story of Patsy Cline’s friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger, played again by Robin Rice. Louise befriended the star in a honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Patsy for the rest of her life. It’s an evening of breathtaking ballads, honky-tonk ditties, and an intimate look at the life of country music’s most beloved singer. Complete with down-home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, Always…Patsy Cline includes many of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.”…27 songs in all.
Director Victor Funderburk and Music Director Ken Clark have teamed up to bring back the show everyone fell in love with the first time. Adding color to Patsy’s songs are the wonderful back-up voices of Nanette Addesso, Holly Decker, Roxanne Hosking, and Chad Dominique.
Float away to the 50’s and 60’s and go “Crazy” for Patsy once more! Always…Patsy Cline runs March 27, 28, April 10 and 11 at 8:00pm, Sunday, March 29 and April 12 at 2:00 pm, and Thursday April 9th at 7:30pm.
