Willimantic, Conn. – The Akus Gallery at Eastern Connecticut State University is holding its first exhibition of the spring semester, “Print Spiral,” from Jan. 8 to Feb. 19. The exhibition is being co-curated by Akus Gallery Director Roxanne Deojay and Visual Arts Professor Imna Arroyo; it displays how prints spiral out from and into other mediums.
A reception for “Print Spiral” will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Jan. 15. The event is open and free to the public. Artists featured in the exhibition include Tia Blassingame of Connecticut, Nancy Friese of Rhode Island, Timothy McDowell of Connecticut and Yoonmi Nam of Kansas.
The Akus Gallery is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information contact the Akus Gallery at 860-465-4659 or 860-465-4647.
