Eastern Regional Tourism District/Mystic Country launches online industry resource for Mystic Country travel professionals
The Eastern Regional Tourism District/Mystic Country has launched a new industry resource for tourism professionals in eastern Connecticut, Industry.MysticCountry.com. The site is the only one of its kind in the state.
“Industry.MysticCountry.com is a place where tourism based businesses can find tourism industry news including ways to get involved in promotional opportunities,” said Ed Dombroskas, Executive Director of the Eastern Regional Tourism District. “The site also houses business listings in the Mystic Country database, as well as events and specials. These are important resources for our office as we develop marketing initiatives throughout the year.”
Tourism district tools that incorporate information from the industry site include: the annual Mystic Country Visitors Guide, state tourism initiatives, social media and press releases.
The site also houses a press section for media interested in learning more about the region, a master calendar of events and the Business of Tourism, the ERTD’s monthly industry newsletter, articles both current and past.
Destination marketing organizations (DMOs) or individual tourism-related entities in eastern Connecticut can access and update listings in the tourism database. Tourism-based businesses interested in accessing their free account should email firstname.lastname@example.org and provide name, title, organization, address and daytime phone number.

Industry.MysticCountry.com is a stand-alone industry site that is separate from the consumer website located at Mystic.org.

This publication will be inserted into Sunday newspapers on September 14, 2014, with a total circulation of 475,000. Added multimedia components will include online and E-blast campaigns. Thousands of leads will be generated from this Guide, and each lead delivered to the ERTD will receive a Mystic Country Visitors Guide as fulfillment. NOTE: Traditionally the Fall Getaway Guide results in MORE leads than from the Spring/Summer Getaway Guide.
