Sharing Our Spiritual Treasures: Creating a Community of Communities

WILLIMANTIC, CT       On Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. Temple Bnai Israel , 345 Jackson Street in Willimantic presents an interfaith panel  from the “Building Abrahamic Partnerships Program” at Hartford Seminary:  Yehezkel Landau, Associate Professor of Interfaith Relations and Program Director; Timur Yuskaev, Assistant Professor of Contemporary Islam at Hartford Seminary and co-editor of The Muslim World journal; and the Reverend Dr. Karen Nell Smith, a  Congregational pastor and member of  the Building Abrahamic Partnerships facilitation team.  They will offer insights to promote appreciation of one another’s religions by dispelling myths, correcting misunderstandings, and combating distortions. Those attending will have the opportunity to raise questions or concerns in a plenary session following the presentation. Refreshments will be provided.
