The Windham Theatre Guild Presents THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER

Dec 12, 2013 by WindhamAreaArts

December 2. 2013: The Windham Theatre Guild presents a SecondStage Special Event…The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson. This unique holiday event combines the annual WTG Youth Chorus featuring music of the season with this ever popular play. Many of the kids in the Youth Chorus will perform in the play and others will be featured as the Angel Choir in the story.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the story of the Herdmans, who are the worst kids in the whole history of the world; they lie, steal and cheat. Now they have bullied their way into the church’s annual Christmas pageant! Slated to be the “worst pageant ever”, the whole town has gathered in anticipation, waiting to see the Herdmans ruin Christmas. Will the pageant be a disaster as everyone is expecting, or will the spirit of the season change the hearts and minds of the Herdman family?

The production runs for FOUR SHOWS ONLY on December 12, 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and December 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors (60+), $11 for children under 12, and $12 for UCONN/ECSU/QVCC students. There is a special price for the Thursday, December 12th performance. Anyone who buys a ticket at the door on Thursday, December 12th will pay the kid’s price of just $11. This special offer does NOT apply to tickets reserved in advance.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present at all performances of the show. This will give families an opportunity to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus before the show and during intermission if they bring a non- perishable food item to be donated to the Covenant Soup Kitchen. Please bring your own camera or camera/phone. Photos will begin at 7pm for evening performances and 1:30pm for the matinee.

For reservations please call 860-423-2245 or go online at www.windhamtheatreguild.org.
