The arts community in downtown Putnam continues to grow and attract artists and build it’s creative economy
Chrissy and James of Hampton CT were looking for a location to blend their love of art and entrepreneurial spirit in the Quiet Corner.
After an afternoon stroll in Downtown Putnam brought them to The Gallery On Main Street, Paul Toussaint, Executive Director and Lead Curator encouraged them to invest in Putnam.
Keys to 156 Main Street were given to the Empty Spaces Project and the space was shown to 3 prospective tenants, but Chrissy and James saw the sunny, awninged spot in the quaint block between Woolworks and The Arc Emporium as a place they could feel at home.
James says “The Shattered Palette Art Gallery will be the newest art based business coming to Putnam, making it a destination stop for art enthusiasts, shoppers and tourists. I feel our business will thrive and grow in this inviting and supportive business community.”
