June 27, 2013, Pomfret, CT . . . Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes invites you to Illumination: A Playful Dance with Light, an exhibition of original artwork that runs from July 20 to September 1, with a Meet the Artists Opening Reception, Saturday, July 20th, 5-8PM. This exhibition challenged artists to creatively experience playing with contrast: light vs. dark, brightness vs. shadows, radiance vs. dullness.
Sixteen different local and regional artists will be featured during the exhibition, working in a wide variety of media and styles. A diverse spectrum of work includes photography, sculpture, pastels, acrylics, oils, mixed media, watercolors, lithographs and I-phone-ography. Participating artists are Kristi Beisecker, John Caesar, Judy Doyle, Laurel Porter-Gaylord, Sharon Way-Howard, Susan Scott Kenney, Heather LaCoeur, Donna O’Scolaigh Lange, Jacqueline Lucier, Casey Stone-Pirrie, Katie Samuelson, Wolfgang Schweizer, Regina Thomas, Robert Thomas, Paul Toussaint, and Kathleen Zimmerman. Join us for an evening of enlightenment as we celebrate these artists. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
