The Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and its Artist Fellowship Program encourages the continuing development of Connecticut artists. The program offers competitive grants of up to $10,000 to Connecticut artists and enables them to set aside time to pursue their work and achieve specific creative and career goals.
The 2013 Artist Fellowship program guidelines and application are NOW AVAILABLE. Applicants to the following disciplines are eligible to apply in 2013:
Choreography
Dramatic Writing (Playwriting / Screenwriting)
Music Composition
Poetry
Prose (Fiction / Creative Non-Fiction)
The Application Deadline is: Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:59pm EST.
The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) has been in the process of restructuring fiscal year 2013 grant programs according to our focus on Creative Placemaking. The Artist Fellowship program has undergone some changes and has shifted from a 2 year rotation cycle to a 3 year rotation cycle with added disciplines.
