Museum hours are Saturdays and Sundays 11:00-4:00. Open for field trips or for those only in town on a weekday by appointment. Admission is always free. Volunteers always wanted. Contact through facebook or email scaliseb4@gmail.com.
The museum housed in a genuine New Haven Railroad Boxcar, circa 1920. Exhibits include information, pictures, documents, signed Boxcar Children Mysteries and other books by G.C.W. dating back to 1916. Museum honors the life of Gertrude Chandler Warner and celebrates her contributions to children’s literature featuring The Boxcar Children Mysteries.
